About

MFA UCLA Animation Workshop.

Special Interests: Pre-viz for 3D IMAX would probably be a dream job, as I've been an avid fan of stereoscopic 3D since about 1980, and I enjoy the little discoveries that go with balancing evocative character environments with interestnig script elements.

I enjoy writing for animation, especially family and faith-based where the aim is to free oneself from limiting thought processes and assumptions and explore wider personal vistas.

I am a generalist with LightWave 7.5 at this time. I have used other toolsets as well.

Most of the short films I've made have been one minute long and not very busy. I've also done a little comedy writing in various places. Although it dates me, I co-wrote some jokes that were used in an episode of "Liquid TV." The last short film I made was for a 48 hou-type event called "The Lost Weekend." Most of the shorts that were produced were originallly conceived as trailers for feature films.

I am actively looking for work in television and feature animation. My strengths are probably pre-viz, layout, environment texturing and modelling, lighting, some character texturing, and a little fx animation. Since I've only animated characters in my on films, I've worked with fairly crude rigs and fallen back on morph targets frequently. I'm open to working with advertizing companies on spec projects.
